In some cases severely weather and oxidized gelcoat can be brought back to life by the process of wet sanding. Although labor intensive the results are spectacular and far cheaper than repainting.
Restoring gelcoat is multi-step process that involves wet sanding with different grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth even surface. The sanded surface is then buffed with a special restoring compound applied using a high speed buffer equipped with a special wool bonnet.
We have many year’s experience in gelcoat restoration necessary to restore the appearance of your boat to a like new condition.
We have successfully restored gelcoat on boats that were more than 20 years old and made them shine like new after the restoration.
